About

When people visit Maple Lake Elementary, we often hear what a warm, inviting learning place we have created at MLE. We hear this from new families, substitute teachers, and all kinds of visitors who come into our building. This nurturing learning environment, provided by an extremely caring and dedicated staff, has helped our students make great gains academically. We were named a Reward School in 2012, 2013 and 2014 which means our students scored in the top 15% of all Title I schools on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs). Additionally, we were one of 12 elementary schools in Minnesota given the distinction of being named a School of Excellence in 2014. This is a 7-year distinction so we will proudly boast about it for several years to come!

Research indicates early childhood and elementary education years are the most critical times to develop confidence, knowledge, independent work habits, and love of learning. They are also crucial times to develop academic and personal skills. We take this challenge very seriously and work diligently to help our young children develop to their full potential.

We invite you to come and visit our beautiful building to get a sense of the “excellence” that goes on in our school. Please feel free to contact us to set up a tour and/or to answer questions you might have about enrolling your child at MLE.
